LEDA wins awards for Small Consultancy of the Year and Project of the Year 2017
We are delighted to announce that Leeds Environmental Design Associates (LEDA) scooped two prizes at the 2017 Chartered Institution of Building Service Engineers (CIBSE) Yorkshire Awards.
400 people attended the black tie event on 10th November at the Royal Armouries in Leeds where we picked up the accolades for Small Consultancy of the Year and Commercial and Industrial Project of the Year. The CIBSE Yorkshire Awards aim to highlight excellent work by organisations based in the region.
LEDA is a co-operative of experienced buildings service engineers specialising in environmentally sustainable building design. The award-winning project is the highly innovative, low carbon Little Kelham housing development in Sheffield for which we provided engineering and design services to the inspiring developer CITU.
Jim Wild, one of LEDA’s directors, said, “We’re proud to be recognised for how we work as well as the projects we work on. We want to make a difference in everyone’s lives by creating great sustainable buildings that respect the environment and are a joy to use.”
In their comments, the judges recognised the cutting-edge nature of LEDA’s involvement in the Little Kelham project:
“[A] really successful project with plenty of high quality, well thought out design.”
“Absolutely superb project! This is exactly where developments of the future should be headed!”
We would like to thank Simon Owen and the regional committee of CIBSE, and also congratulate the many other organisations doing such exciting work in our industry.
